Because Racecar! GD vs GE

I just sold a Miata that had been set up as an autocross/HPDE car, because with two kids it just wasn't getting driven very much. I'm a slow-car-fast type of guy, and the Fit seems to be an interesting replacement (momentum car that's light and tossable, but also very usable as a daily driver around town). I wonder though, what are the major differences from the sports car guy's perspective (availability of good brake pads, alignment adjustability, wheel compatibility, suspension availability)? I did search, but it seems like a lot of the info is kind of dated and maybe things have changed over the last couple years.

The GD chassis is generally regarded as a much more "sporty" car compared to the GE. The GE's suspension is softer, which made a big difference in ride quality comparing the GE to the GD. The GE is still a very capable car, especially with a RSB and some camber adjustment, along with some stickier rubber.
