Is your Fit your only car? Or what else do you own?
I also am a Honda fan boy!
My girl and I have the following:
- 2014 Fit Sport AT;
- 2005 Accord V6 6-speed;
- 2004 S2000;
- 2000 Civic swapped with an ITR motor and lots of other goodies. We use this one as a lapping car.

Brief history of this car: Bought it for $850 in 1987 when I was 19. It was a bit of a pile when I got it. Rebuilt the engine twice in a six or seven year span. Did the body over (sheet metal patches pop-riveted in and Bondo'd over) shortly after getting it, then it got creamed by a pickup in 1993. Truck driver's insurance didn't total it but sent me a check for $1600, thanks! Dad and I went at it with hammers and Bondo and painted the car again, and it came out pretty well.
The front end was a little loosey goosey and each year it was a crapshoot whether it would pass inspection in Massachusetts. I got really spooked by it and decided to ignore it, putting it up for winter storage in 1999 and left it there. Fast forward to a couple years ago, the guy who owned the place where it was stored said he was selling his place and needed everything gone. Dragged it home and got it running, and it actually runs pretty well. Registered as "historic" here in Maryland so no inspection!
The plan is to use the car for Friday night trips to get dinner and ice cream until the next major mechanical calamity, at which point I push it into the Potomac and walk away. It had a good run.
TLDR: junky car when I bought it, still pretty junky now but looks decent, runs OK, just want one more summer out of it before deciding exactly what to do with it.

1988? 1989?

1991ish at a car show, bragging about how much horsepower the car has. I'm in full MG geek mode with My First Mullet

1993 - Throwout bearing disintegrated. Dad and I got pretty good at yanking the engine out of this thing.

1994 - cluttering up the folks' with junk: my old '79 Civic (blown engine), MG (no engine), and my newly-acquired '87 CRX Si

Winter storage

Last fall, after I got the car going again.

First ice cream run from this past summer

Ready to go!

I'm going to take it autocrossing next weekend. Should be good for Slowest Time of the Day, assuming it runs long enough to complete a run.
Brevity is still not my strong suit.
