Blank key source (without a chip)

I'm looking to get a spare key made for when I'm out biking, skiing, etc. The OEM key is bulky and expensive to replace if I happen to take a spill or lose it. So my plan is to lock the OEM key in the car and just take a spare key with me.

The ones I can find come with a chip. Really don't need the chip, so if there is one without a chip for cheaper, please post up. Thanks.

Hey spreadhead, I looked on there and found nothing at first. I was searching under my specific model year (2007). But just doing a general search for "Honda Blank Key", came upon this:

Amazon.com: Transponder Key Blank for Honda Accord CR-V Civic Fit Pilot Ridgeline Odyssey: Automotive Amazon.com: Transponder Key Blank for Honda Accord CR-V Civic Fit Pilot Ridgeline Odyssey: Automotive

It says for 09-11 Fit, but I believe it will work for GD's as well (same key shape, right?).

EDIT: Make sure your dealer will cut an aftermarket key first before buying. None in my area will do it. But, they do have skeleton keys available (no chip, just for access only) for $6. That's the route I'm taking.

I went to a locksmith. My car is a '15 so I don't know if the key is the same, but the key is a laser cut key. $55 for a blank, and $110 for the transponder key.

The last one I had cut for a 2011 Fit at a local locksmith. He had the blank in stock and it cost me $3.00. This key will open the vehicle but because it has no chip you can not start the engine and drive with it.

Rodney, can you tell us where you got the flat key? Or did the dealer provide it?
