Bought an 07 yesterday

So far I'm liking it. A Base, in that dark greyish-silver color. I think I got a good deal - paid $8900 and the car has only 47k on it. Guy said he simply asked what the Blue Book said it was worth. He wouldn't budge on the price but I didn't care, most of the Fits I've seen for that price have around 100k on them. I was the first person to look at it and I wanted to grab it. While I was looking at it someone walked up and asked about buying it, so I figured I'd better get it while the getting was good.

It's in excellent mechanical condition, but it has a couple of tiny chips and dings from pebbles. Inside the dashboard has some small cuts and scratches on top, as if someone put the end of some boards they were bringing back from Home Depot on there. Other than that, the interior is very good, especially considering that the PO has two little kids.

It also had some mismatched 14x165 tires on steelies with plastic covers, but I swapped those today for some RE-11s on some 5 spoke wheels from my old Scion xB. Car went from looking like a boring appliance to a nice little sporty sedan. I'm sure it'll handle way better if I do some serious driving too.

While I had the car up in the air I removed the muffler. Car is really quiet without it, about as loud as a new Vette or a well muffled bike, but just loud enough so that it sounds a bit sportier from the driver's seat. I'm going to leave it off and get a straight pipe made for it. I did the same thing with my Scion and was very happy with the results, cost only $70.

47000 miles or kilometers? Either way that Fit has super-low miles and I can't blame you for scooping it up so quickly! Have fun with it. This forum is a gold mine for information and most quarks/problems have already been discussed a few dozen times.
