what is the rubber holder thing above the glove box supposed to be/hold? i cant seem to figure it out

I use mine for pens... So when I go to the bank to deposit my check (for the car payments) i'll have a pen there ready to use!

 

lol thats what i was thinking 2 pens/pencil and a big eraser. hahaha but what is its real purpose?

 

I can hold anything that will fit. I use it to hold tokens and pens.

 

i have an a900 cell phone that fits all snug right there

 

My cell fits on there as well.

No offense to anyone but everyone in my family has always called the handle above the passenger door or the handle above my vw bug glove box or my brothers jeep a JESUS BAR where you can hang on and pray that you make it .
Guess thats why I laughed when I saw this , Its a multiuse ledge or JESUS grip.

 

i was told it was a "oh shit bar". but the one at the chevy silverado, definitely can't hold anything. it's really a handle bar and no mattter how creativie u are, u can't think of any other use for it other than grabbing it right before a crash.

 

Its funny you all mention putting pens there and stuff. I bet Honda wouldnt suggest it. Any "loose" object would be a lethal weapon in a car accident.

Not to mention the air bag would pop out making those objects fly at an INSANE speed. Pretty cool if you ask me. I'LL PUT PENS THERE TOO!!!!!
