I am considering buying a used Honda Fit and was wondering how I can find out where each prospective car was produced. Would location be on a name or badge plate? And if so, where is it? Thanks

 

Look at the VIN number on the badge inside the door sill when you open the door. If the first digit is a 3 it was made in Mexico, but those were only the 2015's I think. Japanese made vehicles start with a J.

My ID label inside the door states it was made in Japan and what date it was produced, no decoding needed, it's a 2011.
