Definitely should have gotten the Police involved with that much damage. In fact, I would be surprised if state law didn't require a report with that much damage. Don't have to call 911, most agencies have a non-emergency number for this type of thing. Oh well, can't go back in time.

I would stay on the insurance company when the repair shop gets everything off and can see what damage may be underneath. They should cover any additional damage that is discovered, but you may have to press them.

his insurance has denied claim they called my insurance and said driver is denying fault
Very typical when a company vehicle hits your car. The driver doesn't want to get in trouble. A snowplow hit one of our cars while it was parked and the snowplow company lied and denied. Our insurance company had to cover it.

2010 Fit Front End Accident - Totaled?

My 2010 Fit with low mileage (37K) and in excellent condition has major front end damage from an accident. I walked away with just a bruise. Will the insurer total it? Will they take the good condition into account, as well as recent upgrades such as new tires, battery? Or is the car even repairable?

I can't imagine that damage being considered totaling an $8500 car?

Is Fit Totaled

How many airbags deployed? If three or more deployed, generally the insurance company will total it (ask me how I know!)

They may total it, but it will be fixed up and show up on one of those no-name "buy here-pay here" used car lots.
