Please look at accident pics and give opinion

With Fit '08, got sideswiped by a big rig that I just couldn't quite get around in time. Please examine the two pictures in my google web link. (not sure how to post them directly here). What has me worried is that you'll see the inner metal inside the the door (frame?) is damaged as well as the door and some outer shell metal. Would repair cost possibly be enough to total it? Trying to get an adjuster to get out here pronto. Drove it home but the tire hits the rear well when I go over a bump so don't dare to drive further. I can't think I can damage it further but bending the wheel well metal back an inch or so but am afraid appraiser might say I'm damaging further. Please give your opinions.

Hi! Sorry about your accident, if you'll check this thread for "21 December 2011-A Day of Infamy" you can read about my encounter w/ a hit and run driver. Unfortunately, I just got the news that my car is totaled, BUT I had three airbags to deploy, as well as other heavy damage to the tune of $7900! I don't think you're anywhere CLOSE to that level> Best of luck to you...

R.I.P. '07 VBP Sport 5MT w/minor appearance & comfort mods!!

Wouldn't think that the metal inside the door is part of the frame.

They'll just swap out your door; it would be pretty costly to fix that no?

You can usually move the car to a place of safety but its not a good idea to change any panels or conditions until the appraiser looks at it and takes photos.
