Rear Badge Removal - Ghost Image???

I removed the rear badge on our 2015 EXL this afternoon. Using a combination of dental floss, goo gone and my fingernail I was able to remove the badge and all the residue. Based on the angle I am still able to see where the FIT badge was on the trunk lid, the letters are still able to be made out if that makes any sense? Our Fit is storm metallic, I removed the rear badge emblem on our Odyssey which is the same color and I don't remember having this issue. I washed the Fit right after (high pressure water at car wash only, no actual contact with a brush or sponge as I was in a hurry).

The vehicle is less than a month old so I don't think it has anything to do with the sun affecting the paint. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Clay and a good cleaner wax then sealer wax should take care of it.

Wait until the next time it rains and you will see water bead in the shape of the emblem. It happened to me when I debadged my old Boxster back in the day...
