Did a trip this weekend...
... so using my ScanGauge II, I did some experimentation.
Trip was 280 miles each way. On the "there" trip, I set my cruise on 80 mph. ScanGauge reported 30.2 mpg for the trip.
On the way back, I set the cruise on 75 mph. ScanGauge reported 35.2 mpg for the trip.
Temperature was about the same going both ways, and I ran the A/C a little on both trip, so environmental factors should cancel.
If I can bring myself to do it, I'll probably to a 65 and 70 trip sometime in the future.
Oh, and the overall purpose, besides visiting family, was to run an Autocross today.
I averaged 5.9 mpg on my runs! LOL!!! I even won H-Stock, woo hoo!!!
