Black Box in Fit?

After having this one wrecked by one of my drivers last week. (8700.00 and it may yet be totaled) I found out today from the Honda dealer that there's no "black boxes' in these cars. I thought I saw a post in here saying there was?

I hope your driver is alright!

So how does the Matrix compare to the Fit as far as handling and performance? The Matrix is my standby choice if something doesn't go right with the pending Fit purchase...

Driver OK...

I think he feel asleep at the wheel! I had other posts regarding the accident here: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-photos-videos/9205-fit-wrecked.html

The Fit is more fun to drive than the Matrix. We lose a few cubic feet of room for cargo. The MPG's are about 4-5 better in the Fit. The acceleration is probably better in the Fit. No console sucks in the Fit though; however, its available as an aftermarket item.

We burned up fuel pumps and catalytic converters in the Matrix's, we didn't have that problem when we used Corolla's. Corolla's and Civics are out now due to cargo demands. The FIt seemed the right choice. I have (had) three Fits in service and one has over 10 K on it already. We put about 80K a year on cars, so we'll know quick how the Fits will fare!
