Rear shock absorber options for 2012 Fit Sport

Hey everyone.
I searched the forum and the internet but found next to no information about peoples' experiences replacing rear shock absorbers.

Has anyone used the
Monroe 5682 Monroe 5682
(no reviews on Amazon) ?

Has anyone used these cheaper
Sensen Sensen
shocks?

Kyb?

Those who replaced the shocks themselves, did you find that your ordered type had all the hardware (washers, nuts, etc) to do the job properly?

Monroe supposedly offers lifetime warranty. But what are the terms?

Any info is appreciated.
P.S. I am at 67K mileson my 12 and hear a bit of noise from the shocks. Also I saw some sweating of oil around the shock area. The cheaper version is only 68$ for the pair and replacement should be pretty straightforward.

What was your experience with the rear shocks?

Any responses? Hard to believe no one who saw this thread had to deal with rear shocks.

I put new shocks on my GD and its quite easy (same as any modern car really). The rears are extra easy actually due to the beam axle. For me no spring compressor was required and honestly I think you could get the rears and springs done in an hour or less even with limited experience. If your up for it also install a rear sway bar (believe it was only around $150) and it makes a HUGE difference in handling.

Monroe in my experience is garbage. Options were limited for me with my GD but for you there are more. If I were you I would look into the Koni STRT if you can. I actually mounted GE STRT on the back of my fit when I heard they work. They are not stiff though and personally I would probably do koni yellows if i did it again. I also used progress springs which helped the stance and it rides pretty nice (doesn't feel like its lowered).

I ordered mine from maperformance.com

In my experience to get good handling from a FWD car its best to run a softer setup on the front and a stiffer setup on the rear to sort of force it to oversteer in a way. Run stiffer rear shocks in the back if your looking for a better driving experience.

Thank you for the reply. What kind of experience have you had with Monroe that made you disappointed in them?

I am looking to stay with the stock design replacements, not really looking to replace with lowering springs, or do any other mods.

It does seem the replacement should be easy. I will check to see what Koni STRT makes for the Ge8.

As of now, I was leaning towards Monroes or KYBs but didn't rule out OEM replacements , though they are pricier.

every experience I have had with Monroe they were worse than oem. Basically just shocks you can slap in for cheap. I have the kybs on the front of my car and they work about like stock. Honestly though it might be worth it to just spring for the oem ones. You will know what your getting and they are built to last.
