Hello.. New around here.

My GF bought a used 09 fit and we like it so much I found another 09 5 speed manual 1/2 hr north.

It has 160K on it and I was hoping a few of you more knowledgeable people could give me some tips of what to look for or test other than anything obviously apparent. Should I hire a mechanic? I'm not really sold on having a mechanic look at it because Iv paid one in the past who couldn't tell me the head gasket was failing. It was more like a safety inspection.

usually u want to check that the car comes with a steering wheel.






well, with the airbag recall completed dat is

 

I would check for rust on the upper frame of the doors (check under the rubber).

Also check for water or rust in the spare tire well.

These are the only things I could think about...
