Popular Science- Best Innovations - FIT
This month's Popular Science has the 100 best Innovations from 2006 and of course Honda Fit is one of them. I'm sure the brief article can be located somewhere at www.PopSci.com but the first line reads "NO $14,000 SUBCOMPACT should carry an engine this sophisticated." It goes on to mention precise fuel delivery, computer-controlled valve timing, quick response, low emissions, and of course the versatility of the magic seats. Honda made the list with 2 more items, the Acura RDX and a new private jet they developed. Thought I'd let everyone know who may not get the magazine, we were mentioned again!........

Sorry, I didn't mean to threadjack and make this about mileage since we already have enough threads.
As for the innovative points of the Fit, I agree that this car is the win. That's why i sold my 280 HP WRX for one.

Stock horsepower was 108 I believe on the 2005 Echo. I don't own the Echo anymore. I own a Fit Sport automatic now.
The Fit definitely seems a little stronger when accelerating but the big difference to me is how well the Fit handles on the highway compared to my old Echo.
