I'll be there for sure! I just hope I don't have to pick up the g/f LOL! If I do, I might be a little late, and I'll have to drag her along with me hahaha

This sounds awesome, I driven an 07 ex and am looking to trading up to an 08 fit, can't wait to hear the results!

To be honest.. if you're thinking of trading your 07 Civic EX for an Automatic Fit you won't be happy.. from what i've seen on the forum the Fit with the Auto Trans gets poor mileage and is a fair bit slower than the manual trans version. If I had an A/T Fit I wouldn't be racing my friend.

Well... it didn't go as well as I planned.. atleast not from personal expectations.. but it went ok.

Given the track conditions, +4000ft above sea level, and +29 celsius temperature.. the Fit won 2 out of 4 races against my buddies 06 Civic EX.

We decided to not have a grudge match to have a definite winner since it got super busy and was way tooooo hot..

I beat my buddy off the line and led at the 1/8th mile each time, but he would creep up on me near the end.. My 2 losses were from a miss shift into 2nd gear and a bad launch on the other.. too much wheel spin put me behind him all the way and I lost by .110 seconds.

My best time was a 17.766 @ 76.87 mph... not as good as I would've liked but it was so hot out and you have to tack on 1 sec due to elevation.. so if I ran in California I would've posted a 16.766... and from the +29 celsius temperature that also was a huge factor and I think would've dropped a fair bit too.

There was a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer there OZ edition and he ran 18.9.. also there was a Nissan Sentra SE that was running 19.1. So given those cars numbers the Fit fared well IMO. There was also a Chevy Cobalt SS that was running 16.8 which I think is horrible considering the amount of power that comes outta the supercharged 4 banger..

All in all I did beat my buddies Civic twice.. or 50%.. atleast I got away with a couple victories.. the first was a given since it was his first time, but my second win was the last race we ran so he had already got the hang of it.

If the Fit had a little more power to finish off 3rd gear I'm sure I'd win every time.. hmmmm.. what mods should I get? I want the crank pulley from AJR... but I need some more top end!

My friends Civic always trapped a higher speed at the end of the races... about 2-3mph faster..

Ya I agree.. he should've been in the 14s IMO.. but there was a copper cobalt SS that was heavily modded running high 13s.

Anyone in town do P&P's (port & polish) for the Fit? That might add a couple extra ponies!

No worries man, YeeFit helped me get the front one off...I'll probably take off my rear bumper today to remove the lip and possibly the skirts in preparation.
