I think that there is no venue for Calgary anymore, recent threads on SASC indicate that Currie Barracks is not available anymore. We will have to travel to Lethbridge for every event...

I don't mind doing a few in Lethbridge, but I don't have the time or capability to run an entire season hours out of Calgary for every event

 

we are a few months away from the season starting, if you think about it they didn't have the barracks close to the beginning of the season last year either and I am sure quite a few of them want to race in Calgary.

Where there's a will there's always a way. We'l just have to stay tuned.

yah for Penhold Only tons of hours in the other direction... sigh

Isn't Calgary big enough to support a real motorsports venue!!

 

Someone will have to step up at some point but my guess is it's been uber expensive the past few years. This economy should help that a bit.

 

Ok, I got a plan....

First we need some crazy suspension; at least 15" of travel and some crazy tires. Next we need roll cages welded onto the exterior of the Fit's.

Then we should rent a farm and setup a crazy off-road rally course.... mwaaahahaha!

 

Or we can just go set up our own course in a Wal-Mart parking lot and use shopping carts instead of cones!
