Fit brake

First time drove the FIT in snow
the front wheel drive experience is great
but the brake is kind of scary....
don't know its just my car or all FIT are like this.
under major road condition the brake function normally, no problem.
in an unshovel area, when step on the brakes, it makes loud cruching noise, but able to stop the car
I am not talking about skid or slide.
is this normal?

I had a crash course in snow-driving in a RWD pickup after the AF moved me from the sunbelt to Nebraska. I decided then it would be FWD or AWD from then on.

thanks everyone!
glad to know its normal, I recall my old BMW 323i never had this kind of ABS brake vibration.
I have OEM all season tires, no snow tires

I agree with the others get four snow tires (on dedicated rims if you can afford it) and you will be amazed how much better you can control your car. Just don't get over confident
