No More Manual Fits!!!???

Okay, just got back from a honda dealership here in New Mexico. all they had were 3 Automatics... i was mad because i got done with all the paper work and they were gonna search the area for a Manual... nothing. and they didn't just search NM, they searched Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Cali. all those places! and nothing turned up.

Does anyone out there know when more manuals are coming out?

Mine's scheduled to arrive this week - estimated delivery 12/4 - 12/8. I saw the dealer allocation printout, and it did say it was an MT sport, as ordered - hopefully allocation printouts don't lie (I'll be really po'd if they do!!!) Build date was in November. I placed a deposit on 5/29 - a long wait, but I'm getting exactly what I ordered, w/my first color choice.

I don't know what the current % of MT fits built is, but all the reports here I've seen say 15% - don't know if that's changed. But at least as of last month they were building some. Somebody has been posting total US/Canada production numbers over the last few months, and the total numbers of Fits they've been shipping has been going down month to month . But that number lumps all Fits together - no breakdowns of sport/base and/or MT/AT......

Confimed! It's HEEERRREEE!!!!

I got a call this afternoon - it's finally here. Sport MT!!! They're still cranking, err, dribbling them out.

Will pick it up in the next day or 2. Be patient, but they ARE out there........

Several dealers in the NW told me that they would be getting manual Fits in Febuary, and none before that.

I also talked to somebody at Carson Honda in CA who said they were getting a manual Fit this month some time. They were selling it for like 500 over MSRP but as of 3 weeks ago it was un-claimed.

I got mine in Philadelphia, but it was an order that somebody backed out of.

So yeah, they are out there but there are very few, and you may have to travel some distance.

Yep, I was told by my dealer that they would get it in November (this was round the 12th) Then 3 weeks go by and they haven't even recieved the VIN# of the car. I skipped on that one and ended up with an auto.

Mine was built 12/11 and is MT base, so, yes, they're being built. I was told after this "batch" the next set of manuals was due in March.

In the past month, I've seen probably 5-6 manual fits come in on the daily deliveries.

Galpin Honda

The dealership I bought my Fit from is part of a bunch of car dealerships which sell the most Fords in all of California (Honda being their now branch) There were 10 fits that were just delivered out of the 10 the SS silver one I bought was the only manual transmission. I drove by the dealership today and they are bone dry! According to the dealer Fits in Auto are very very rare.

The dealer I'm working with, South Tacoma Honda, was able to find a BOM 5MT for me (built March 1/mid-April delivery), and a SSM CVT for the wife due in next week. They actually had lines on 3 5MTs and asked which color I wanted. For me, the choice was simple.
