Avoid Buena Park Honda, CA
When I was looking to purchase my Fit, I tried Costco's auto buying program. It referred me to Buena Park Honda on Beach Boulevard. By chance, we had went there the day before and test driven an AT Sport Fit, so we knew exactly what we wanted.
So, the contact person sits down with us and as the program states, shows us the invoice price and that the Costco approved price list says that we get it exactly at invoice plus the $650 transport fee. He then says he'll get the car for us and write it up.
He comes back with the paperwork and it has $400+ added to it because he says the one I want has [strikeout]mudflaps[/strikeout] wheel locks and floor mats. I look at this mystified since I hadn't even told him what color I wanted. I ask about the color and he says it is the black car we had test driven. We tell him that my MIL has a black car, and we don't like that color at all for our vehicle.
He then asks what color I want and I tell him the vivid blue. He sends his salesman out to check if they have any sports in AT in vivid blue. Meanwhile again he pushes the black car, and we again say we do NOT want black.
The salesman finally comes back saying they don't have any vivid blue in stock. The contact guy asks for a second color choice--I say Blackberry and the same thing repeats. I then ask what colors do they have in stock since we had already been there over an hour and I wanted to cut to the chase. Mind you we only saw about 5 or 6 Fits on the small lot, and most were not sports.
They finally come back with a list that shows they only have the black sport and an orange one--which the salesman drives down and discovers has a manual transmission. Hmmmm... two hours have gone by for them to discover they only have one AT Sport--they didn't know this? Oh and we would still have to pay the $400 for accessories we don't want if we want to take it or pay labor costs to have them removed which he implied would be about half the cost of just leaving the accessories on.
So we ask how long until their next shipment since they had sent us an email as part of the Costco program that stated "We are making room for a big new shipment from the factory. Come check out all the new 2008 colors!" They said it would take at least a month, and they would have to remember not to put the accessories on that specific car since they usually put them on all the new stock when they arrive.
We were ready, checkbook in hand to purchase that day, so we went to Hardin Honda in Anaheim --long story short: I have a Vivid Blue Fit!

well, welcome to the forum and congrats on getting yourself a new fit. I got mine from Hardin Honda as well, so if yours in like mine, you might wanna put something behind the front license plate holder to prevent the top of the holder from rubbing on your bumper and leaving a nice line.
They don't. I was just about to point that out

I personally had a decent experience at Buena Park Honda, friendly service but a bit slow. Is it the norm for honda dealers to sell OEM parts for such ridiculous prices? There is a NHBP Fit S in the showroom at BP Honda and according to the little page on the window, they are charging $200 each for wheel locks, exhaust finisher ($40 off ebay), and a red leather-stitched AT shift knob. So $600 for parts you can get elsewhere for a total of $150-200. I think weather mats were around $200 as well... and then there were the HFP wheels for a whopping $2100 or so for the set. Grand total for that Fit Sport was a bit over $20,000, and that's before tax and all that.
I recently purchased my 09 A/T Blue Sensation Pearl Fit Sport about two weeks ago from Buena Park Honda and I would like to say it wasn't all that bad. I managed to get them down to $17,300 ($280 off MSRP). They do try to add on to the price by trying add on wheel locks, Floor Mats, etc. You just have to stick to your guns and decline everything.
