Thumbs down Hillside Honda, Queens, New York

Would not recommend this dealership at all. First tried to charge me 3K over sticker! Then they tried to sell me the honda care warrantly for the 120K for another 3600. I can can this exact warranty for only 1K at another dealership. when I asked them about it they got very irate and said that I must be wrong about the price.

Second, when they handed me the car, I notice a grease stain in the ceiling liner. Come on! When I complained, they went and cleaned the windows not noticing the grease marks on my celing.

I would never recommend this dealership to anyone at all.

Well not to offend you or anything, but I had a good experience at this dealership. They do not push you to buy anything extra with the car. They were very friendly with me and were straight up honest with me that if I paid cash, the price of the car would be the same.

Like other dealers, they were debating me during the price negotiations, pretending to be my friend, saying people's salaries won't be paid if I don't the car prep fee.......I told them in their face that was BS, and that I'm only interested in OTD pricing. In the end, I got a fair OTD price for my Honda.

Like other dealerships, just start walking away when things aren't going your way and their attitude will start to change. By the way, if you are in New York City, this Honda is way better than Paragon Honda in Woodside, Queens. The dealers there were very rude to me.

About the stain...

try some Resolve carpet cleaner and blot, don't rub...with a clean, dry, white cloth--and then let it dry...if it isn't clean after it's dry...try again.

I have the same problem on my 99 civic and it came out after two tries.

Good luck.

Also would not recommend this dealer. Purchased a low mileage "Certified Pre-owned" Fit (CPO-ed by their affiliated Hillside Honda Express shop) from there last year and the fuel pump died on me the DAY I BOUGHT IT. Not only that but I got jerked around on the repair before I knew it was the pump. I had the car towed back to the dealer that night. They "looked" at it and then handed me back the key saying nothing was wrong with it. I had to have the car towed back a second time after the car wouldn't start after my insurance inspection. Finally they said it was the fuel pump and it was a week without the car until it was repaired.

Aside from that huge pain, the used car manager and the salesperson were basically urged me to commit insurance fraud by using my Grandma's address in the suburbs for a lower rate (which I'm sure people do but maybe don't be blatant about it at point of sale). Additionally, I was only given one key for the vehicle and no user manual and as of time of writing still waiting for a second key and my book. Lastly I found two porn DVDs in my spare tire compartment--no BS. I'm not sure how closely they take a look at their used vehicles before they try to flip them given all of that info. The only reason I went with them over Paragon or another NYC-area dealer is that they had a 2019 Fit LX with less that 10k on the odometer. Pretty scarring for a first time buying experience...
