We've been waiting for a base MT since Memorial Day. We were supposed
to get a base MT on July 29, but never got a call, so I assumed they
sold it because someone was willing to pay more. We were going
though the Costco program of $100 under MSRP which is a good, if
the dealer can deliver.

Salesman understood and had check when we arrived to pick up the
deposit and order sheet.

No... we CANCELLED our order and picked up the deposit check...
we're going to buy something else... not HONDA...

 

Becareful what you buy. There is a reason why this car is hard to buy.
BECUASE IT IS AWESOME!!!!

It really is a shame that the car is still difficult to obtain.

 

Unfortunately those of us that have waited for one and have one get to rub it in too...

 

I must have just got lucky. I called a dealer and he said he see what he had coming and call me back. Within a few days he called and said he had a SSM sport MT coming that didn't have a deposit. A week later I am sporting a Fit.
That was almost a month ago.

 

I tried going thru the Costco program but was told this car wouldn't qualify for it as there was TOO much demand and NOT enough product..

I went down anyway to test drive (they had ONE Base AT SSM left). Loved it. Found out the price.. Told him I'd think about it... ($18,500 out the door).

Priced around for other cars in the "Fit's range" and the Fit won hands down... The deciding factor was the 5star rating on the crash test... You can't get a better car for $18,500 out the door that is safer and cooler...
So I called him back and got the Fit! LUCKY!!!!
