I just installed mine - you can definately feel the difference and a more aggressive "growl" is heard now when you get up on the throttle.

Just make sure you re-use the 2 factory air-box bushings when installing this intake. If you don't transfer the bushings - the 2 twisted brackets won't line up.

Took me 20min to do - what a difference. Now I can get to the AT Fluid dipstick without scrapping and burning my hands too! BONUS!!!!

Where does it really effect the HP? In the higher rpms or is it an all around BAMF like the T1R Carbon??

Excuse me for being skeptical but, how the hell did a chambered intake give you 8hp? K20 im not trying to insult you or call you a liar, so please dont take it that way, I am a novice at the whole car modification thing but, i dont see how that is possible considering that the weapon R header for the fit gives you 5 hp. I am interested in buying this and have been for some time and if it really does give you 8 whp then thats money well spent.

Bump!

Sorry, been poking around the MISHIMOTO intake threads and this has caught my interest. Anybody have an explanation on how this intake makes 8whp?

Similar chamber intakes only make about half this.
Sorry to be skeptical, but this design dosn't strike me as something what would outperform everything else out there. Is there something to the filter design? Anybody have measurements or a spec sheet of the filter? Not putting down the product, just want to know the secret.

it's.....................Mishimotoooooooooooo

lol
idk but you know how dyno sheets say one thing and the actual results are different, because there's different kinds of dynos.

A header can say 10 whp gain and provide a dyno and you get it and you only make 6.

I was hoping somebody could verify the gains independently, would be pretty incredible if this could actually produce 8whp. I'd drop cash on it ASAP.

But I still suspect it has been, how do I say this nicely...

dyno numbers right here
"It didn’t take any fancy tuning to show the instant gains: 8.31hp and 7.32 ft/lb of torque. The dyno registered 88.28whp and 85.84wtq. Final numbers? 96.59whp, 93.16 wtq."
