just wondering, is there a setting where the controller can just reduce the lag from when i tap the gas to when it revs? I don't need or want the controller to make it seem like i pressed the pedal down 1/2 way when i am only pressing it a 1/4...I am fully capable of pressing a pedal down further, I just cant deal with the dbw delay

That's where T/C comes into place. It has 9 Sports adjustable step.
If you simply wanna reduce the lag, just set it at Sports 3 or Sport 4.
That would do the job. SP6~9 is mostly for drag racing and drifting!
