ETC 12 step Adjustable Throttle Controller
#423
Hey I just bought one off a member here. Dont have the instructions though. Got it hooked up and everything. Little red light is flashing on the larger black box. What do I need to do to set it up?
Nevermind! Found Java's instructions in this thread. Got it working.

1) Turn the ignition to "ON" but do not crank car.
2) Press and hold the "set" button on the small module until the screen starts counting down.
3) Once the countdown is complete press the accelerator all the way down until the voltage number levels out. Press the set button once.
4) Let off the accelerator until the voltage number levels out. Press set one more time.
5) This should complete the setup and you should be able to crank the car, set it to your desired setting (EC 1-7/nor/SP 1-9) and you should see the difference in throttle response.
HOPE THIS HELPS!

how much for a race version (the one that remembers the settings) for a 2012 sport?

I wasnt aware there was a "race" version. From what I understand theres no need for a "race" version. The regular throttle controller is all thats needed to change the point at which you reach WOT.

We are offing 2 different version to fulfill market demand.
1. Street version: T/C kit will revert back to normal mode when engine being shut off (safety concern, prevent family member launching your car at driveway w/ Sport7 mode on setting)
2. Racing version: T/C kit will retain last setting when engine being turned off. We only recommend this versio if you are the only driver on your car.

How much for the racing version shipped to 27410?
I'm assuming the eco settings work like the "eco" button in the new Civics?
Just what is the install process for this device? Is it two plugs and a cable splice?
Thanks!

Basically you unplug the wire going to the accelerator pedal, plug your new harness cable in that spot and the wire you removed to the other end. Then that plugs into the control module. Another wire goes from the "Set"/"Mode" Display unit to the control module. Then you plug it into the OBDII port for power or splice a ground and +12V constant wire for hard wire power. takes 10-25min depending on power choice. then program. PM me if you have questions.

BTW I may or may not have one of the "race" models for sale for a 07-08 Fit. I haven't decided if I want to put it on my Si yet or not. Gas savings = -vs- Slow throttle response on a high-strung 6sp manual =

The slower eco settings have worked out well as a means of getting more miles out of a tank of gas... It has made a difference of 4 MPG and better as long as I was a good boy and didn't submit to the temptation of using the sport mode and a heavy throttle foot.
