I like it better here too. Theres nothing worse then a chat room, to me. Unless theres Pr0n.
I hate it when theres 3 people. Just think 10+!

Well it was an idea. To each his own. I like chat rooms when they are all from the forum or atleast people you know but yea when its all new people then it sucks and yes i like reps too. I think i need 29 to rep 5. Thats gonna take a bit but wish me luck none the less. haha

Ugh. Whenever I want to rep someone I can't because I haven't spread the love enough. Then when I can I forgot who I was going to rep in the first place.

And how many damned Fit groups are we going to create/join, Ray? Hmmmm?

That's because some people that contribute are better at contributing than others. In other words: Some people are smart, and the rest are not.

lol. No. I was saying that the reason you keep running into the "Spred the Love" wall is because the same people that deserve rep this time around deserved it the last time around.

That post probably didn't help at all. It sounded better in my head.

I was trying to say that the same people make valid points consistently, and the vast majority of others do not make good enough contributions in between the time that it takes the intelligent people make another good point -therefore- you try to rep the smart person more often than the "not so smart" people.

it's the catch-22 of the system.

Indeed! Many times that seems to be the case. But the more I roam around here the more users I find that have great input, and not just the usual suspects so to speak.

What about putting somewhere in the thread title "rep system....."
just to make it sound a tad bit more holistic? Since the discussions can get rather varied on here.

like-
-visible points
-invisible points
-noted and ignored (haahaa)
-tic tacks types (colors)
-tic tack numbers (quatity there of)
-rep titles
-reasons for +/-
-post count (which can affects user name title and rep title)
-year count
-user CP display
-heads up to members who are worth checking out for helpful info
-spreading the idea of the rep system (more visibility)
-what is a motor and/or engine? j/k (that should NOT be in this thread)
-rep suggestions
-notes on rep modifications
-a safe place to be silly about rep enlightenment and attainment
-how our system is configured (either being reposted continually or being pointed to) because its hard to find for new folk
-how other sites configure it
-how it came about
-how other systems are similar
-RA meetings (Reppers Anonymous) you know who you are. They say its an addiciton now that has possible ties to your genetic disposition.
-
-
-
-........

...and many more things that can and have been included in this thread, while maintaining its initial cohesiveness.

just some thoughts....
peace out

Wow this thread is awesome!

I went from 28 to 37 reps in 1 day

How many does it take to see 3 reps?

If this is detailed in one of the previous pages, could someone point me in the right direction?
