Hauling bikes and trailer hitch
I've had my Fit for a few months now and am enjoying the experience. My son and I race bikes and we're able to haul 2 bikes, extra wheels, a cooler, overnight stuff, and various odds and ends all over Florida and still get 35+mpg!
I do have the occasion to haul three bikes and am considering a Thule Helium. Of course this means I'd have to install a hitch. I'm looking at one made by Valley. Valley Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver V58630 : Trailer hitch bike rack and trailer hitches - etrailer.com Has anyone out there had any experience with this hitch?
I'm choosing the helium rack and this particular hitch because it seems to offer the most weight savings.

Just joined, glad to see there are other folks of similar mind on here
Nice bikes folks! I'm always surprised how many folks ride ss/fixed out there.
My wife placed a kaibosh on all new bike purchases, but I've got a pretty acceptable quiver:

That's with fat tires after a track/cross race, right now it has platforms and is in SS mode.

MTB

Cross bike (with ridiculous road-miles wheels)

BMX (sadly rarely gets ridden anymore)
And, to make everybody jealous:

Bikes have sure changed since I was in the business..... My kid built up a titanium frame mountain bike about 10 years ago that is an antique now..... He has right at $9000.00 in it...... Any recumbent riders around?
No kidding ..... That has to be the tallest frame I've ever seen..... There is no way he could ride a carbon fiber frame that size and have it not flex at the bottom bracket enough to derail the chain..... His buddy rides a very small frame..... I don't think I ever sold anything like either of them size wise.
