So in the past two day's I've seen three other CRZ's and I have realized that the CRZ crowd are more like the 350z/Corvette/Miata crowd. Each time I saw another CRZ I either waved, gave a thumbs up, or wiped my wipers and all three times I got a thumbs up, wave, or wiper wipe back. With the fit other fit owners always looked at me like "WTF is wrong with this guy?!". Maybe it's where I live, but I do like the new local crowd a little more than the fit local crowd lol.

I also discovered that there is another CRZ owner on LSU campus. Another Black one and it's a rather cute girl that owns it Unfortunately we were going opposite directions at the stop light but we both grinned at each other and waved.

As for new stuff on the car, Still debating on what I want to do first. I did find out that I can swing the ass out like an RWD car pretty easily which is fun. The stock tires need to go and soon. Thinking Nitto's next in a slightly wider 205 on the stock rim.

Well compared to the cars you've mentioned, the Fit scene's a bit saturated and the target's a wider demographics. Same way with the WRX crowd when it first came out in '02. I still do it and still get a wave back (on the Rex) specially with the older models.

BTW how's your feel with the rear pillars. Are they a big blind spot when looking over your shoulders or not?

Passenger side it's not a problem. Driver side I don't even bother and just adjusted my side view to compensate. Or I just stick my head out the window

Got out today on Manchac Road here near Baton Rouge. The Name is a link to google maps incase anyone wants to see it. I must say that road is fun. The speed limit is 20 mph because it is literally nothing but curves, hairpins, and S-bends. The google maps doesn't do it justice at all.

I wish I had known about it when I had my fit to use as a comparison but the Z handled it very well in sport mode! I stayed in the 30-60mph range and just had fun using my lane. Very little traffic out there. I passed 3 cars in 15 miles which was amazing. Still managed to get 35.4 MPG constantly accelerating and decelerating and my battery pack never got below half-charge, Just to give you guys and idea of how the car would handle that sort of situation.

Mostly flat except for the sharper turns which have about a 5* bank to them to help out. Once I get a go pro there will be video of that road.

Yeah this summer is probably going to be bad man. She's getting 20% tint all the way around probably. Maybe 40% on the whole windshield.

Sad to hear about your GE8... Glad to hear that you're ok though.

Congrats on the CR-Z, it if was out when I bought my GE8 I would've given it some serious thought. I stumbled on the crz forums sometime last yr when I was looking for ways of wiring up a rearview camera on the factory navi. (yup some one did it on crz forums) There's some pretty good mods being done by crz owners. The Mugen kit, Noblesse, along with the other JDM aero kits... the bumper/grill duct mod, I see someone already k-swapped one, and put some killer spoon calipers on the car too. From what I'm reading lately a few GE8 parts are being swapped over to the crz with performance increases... namely the GE8 intake manifold swap & the GE8 camshaft swap. Who would've thought swapping GE8 parts on to the CRZ will give you performance gains. Plus you got Hondata's Flashpro to maximize your performance mods.. and a whole crap load of other mods I can't think of at the moment.

And you got it in CBP... great color! (same as my GE8)

Thanks man! I was in the same boat as you. I wanted it but it wasn't out yet. The forums are nice for what they have. Not nearly as much info as here but it is a lot smaller of a group so that is expected.

The GE swaps are amazing that they give a boost in performance. I'll probably do the intake mani swap eventually. I really want to stay OEM/OEM+ with this one for a good while just for the cleaner set up.

I was after a CBP or a TW but all they could find in a 6MT was a CBP so that's what I grabbed. So far a freaking love it. It's a good bit faster than the fit especially after 50 mph which is a big plus for me. lol

Don't sell them too short. There's a lot of info over there, you just got to sort thru the bs posts to find it. They're really doing a lot... kinda reminiscent of this forum from ~07-09. I've been spending quite a bit of time over there myself.

Congrats again, sounds like you will definitely enjoy the new car. Be careful with that mod bug, from what I see over there it can get real expensive $$$$$, real quick (have you seen the price of the Mugen kit ) 6MT + IMA assist + n/a gains (GE8 intake mani & cam shaft & also intake/exhaust)... you got some power there. Plus Flashpro to tune it all together.... Wish I had the $$$ to start a CRZ project.
Hey, keep us updated, and pass by this way from time to time... I probably will see you over on those forums too (same s/n).

Yeah I'm trying to hold back. Not sure how long that will last but at least I'm trying. lol The mugen kit is alright to me. The wing is a little overkill but the wheels are beautiful. It'll eventually be a bad ass little pocket rocket, more so than it is now.

S/N over on crzforum is "OneFitZ". I'll keep an eye out for you.
