^ Man I would love to see that monster in person!

Last I heard they were working on upgrading the IMA system which should be interesting.

Damnnnn, that J's CR-Z is nice!!!!!!!!!

Was reading the thread about the "discreet" testing regarding the IMA, very curious as to what's going to happen/update.

Installed my JL 8w3 behind the driver seat with the amp underneath the driver seat. Sounds beautiful and loud inside the car with none of the obnoxious BOOM BOOM outside of the car. Perfect for me.

Jamy like I said if you can grab anything off of your old Fit DO IT, DO IT!!! 8~10hp from the cam alone with no tuning is WORTH IT and if going with FlashPro later you can extract a bit more with a lowered VTEC to about 4900~5100 and play with ignition timing. Spoon has a baffled pan as well for it, asked them about making one for the GE8 as they said it will not work with the GE8, so another variance between the L15A and LEA1.

Manchac Road - YouTube

Our local suspension testing road. Yes about 5 minutes of it 4:30 - 9:30 is following behind some people that wanted to go a little under the speed limit just so a few out of state friends could see the road in its entirety. You can click the annotation to skip through the slow people. lol

That's some interesting stuff about pulling power from the IMA, apparently some Insight owners have (or are) doing this... It should only be a matter of time that the CR-Z owners will figure out a way to do that as well.

here's the k-swap thread ---> Srodaniel's dirty hybrid project - Honda CRZ Forum: Honda CR-Z Hybrid Car Forums
Looks like some one did it on the CR-Z...

There's some pretty good performance mods being done on the CR-Z..... I just hope we eventually get Flashpro as well.

Jamy, you got plenty of options if the mod bug bites you again.

Well guys, It's been a while sense I posted in this thread. I've done a few small things to the Zed, but not too much. A Basis sport tuning secondary cat delete gave me a good bit of torque in the midrange and nice bit of hp in the top end. I got it tinted with 20% tint all the way around. Put in some OEM style blue LED's for the foot wells since the base doesn't come with them like the EX does. I built my own box for a new RE 10" sub that fits perfectly up against the "back seat" and leaves me plenty of trunk space. I put on a Basis 21mm RSB which is the biggest you can get. It made a huge difference in the way the car handles and reduced a good bit of body roll.

My current project is here Steering Wheel Wrap - Honda CRZ Forum: Honda CR-Z Hybrid Car Forums and it's coming along slowly, but surely.

Plans for the future are some swift springs, 205/50-16 Continental ExtremeContact tires, and a Takeda intake. Maybe I'll jump on the Jackson SC sometime down the road, but I'd like to get the car paid off before I do all that.

Doubt it. You'd need the harness too. Car-part.com Go look for a GE wheel.

Yowww Jamy.

Been following your progress on the other site. Nice so far. Nice mods. I saw your project with the steering wheel wrap, as well. You should just go for the $700 J's Racing one. I'm still eyeing that JDM Honda one.

Once I'm done, the J's Racing wheel can shove it. Mine won't be near that cost and I can say I made it when people ask where I got it

Been a while since I've been here...

Ended up finishing the wheel and it came out like this:

Probably going to end up changing it out for the new 2013 CRZ red stitched leather wheel though as it's a pain in the ass to keep clean with daily usage.

Then the mod bug bit and bit hard.
Got tired of the blue and started missing my JDM gauges from the Fit so I changed out all the blue in the CRZ for red:

Added some swift springs, nitto neogen tires, a secondary cat delete, buddy club short shifter, and a rear sway bar. Have a spoon motor rib that'll be in tomorrow. Possibly be supercharged by the end of the year.
