I'm planning a trip down to the Oregon coast from Vancouver, BC next week. Planning to visit a friend in Washington for a couple of days, then maybe 3 days on the Oregon coast. It will be my first visit there. Any suggestions of towns/attractions that are must sees? places to stay that are decent and affordable? seems hard to find good deals online for the coast.

 

I recommend the Surfsand Resort in Cannon Beach. Also, don't speed on 26 or 101 under any circumstance. The cops have dark green cars that blend in with the forest and know where to park to catch people.

 

Lodging on the coast usually demands a premium price, how far south are you planning to go?

 

Not sure how far we're going. I checked and there really isn't any deals to be had for accommodations on the coast. Since it's not really the busy season there, we'll probably just play it by ear.

and thanks for the tip on the highway patrols. I'm going to try and keep it calm. My friend who's coming along wants to drive his car too instead of carpooling to enjoy his Audi 225 TT with 19" 3 piece Abt forged wheels. A bit flashier than my car. :P

My Canadian only Alabaster Silver Metallic GD3 will be rare there as well, but I doubt anyone would notice.
