Re: KREX Graphite used in dealer oil change.

Krex Graphite is a non chemical lubricant used excusively by new car
dealers. The graphite is less than 1 micron in size and only 6 oz are
added to your oil change. The dealer adds this to your oil change to give
you Roadside Assistance and Road Hazard Tire Protection for 120 days from
the date of the oil change. The product is nothing more than 10 weight oil
with a little bit of graphite added. It was delveloped at Packard Motor
Car back in the 40's.

Mechanics have a name for additives of that sort.
They call it "Mouse Milk".

Stay for away from these kind of dealer profit producing additives.

Honda says not to use them ... but dealers go ahead and do it because it
makes the service area more profits.

Just say no.

this is my gf's account since she just got a fit.

but i saw this thread.

i work for a honda dealership with the KREX you talk about. are dealership add's nothing to your oil KREX is just a road side assistance thing for 5 extra dollers.

its a great system if u ask me. u blow out a tire (sidewall damage or an unrepairable hole) they will replace it it up to 150 dollers for FREE.
