The same mainstream media that is OWNED by conservative corporations??

The conservatives do the same. Listen to any Right-Wing loud mouth on radio or Fox News and be told that Liberals are the seed of the devil.

Please lets keep the political divisiveness off this board and lets talk about the Fit.
Clearly you must be a Liberal. You critisize me for being politically decisive when I was merely stating the facts. Not to mention I was responding to the comments made by the originator of the thread. It is the same old tactic of the left to try demonize someone who has a different point of view then swing it around and bring Fox News into the conversation or Bush for that matter. The people who don't like Fox News are fearful of honest journalism. Period. If you were not such an angry person, you would have read that I indeed wrote about both a Subaru WRX and a Honda Fit as well. Please clear your mind and grab your contacts and read it again. That is your home work assignment for tonight. Then, please tell the class about your Fit.
P.S.
I am not a Republican, Massachusetts does not allow the party in it's state otherwise people might realize there are other points of view and become open minded and/or free to make their own decisions.

My father had a 1983 Subaru DL wagon, bought new, terrible car, ate clutches due to a design fault in the rear seal, A/C konked out and rusted out quickly.....but it is (was?) still on the road in 2003, several owners later!

He now has a Forrester, bought it the first year it came out, best car he has ever owned.

Win some/loose some.

Matter of fact they just opened a plant in believe in Alabama that has zero emissions and no landfill products...everything is recycled there.

I think some ad person just put a spin on that to make it sound like the cars are better just to sell more gas thirsty rides!
+1 this statment "Subaru" as company not product...

BTW I do have 06 WRX wagon, and 07 Fit Sport. WRX kick ass on highway:D and Fit kick ass in City;)

We own a Fit and a Forester. Both are excellent cars. When things get slippery on the road, the Forester comes out. Otherwise, the Fit is busier in our household for the mileage.

I enjoyed reading through this thread. Currently I own a Fit and Subie Outback. Living in the Seattle area I see my fair share of Subaru's and understand the enviro culture that seems to surround the company. Having come from an SUV that had a hopeful combined 16mpg to the Subie which gets 25.6 mpg (10,000 mile combined avg)...it IS friendly. I only need a awd car for going through the snow in the passes and goining down rutty roads where the comparable clearance is very nice. I must admit that I LOVE the Subaru for winter driving and LOVE the Fit for zipping around town. :D
