Mission impossible: Replacing prelude side lamp bulb
'93 Prelude Si (Jap spec)
How does one gain access to the side lamp bulb on the passenger side?
Mine's a RH Drive, the driver side is no problem but access is
seriously limited on the passenger side due to various obstacles
(windscreen wash reservoir etc.)
Anyone know what the procedure is? It seems like it's necessary to
remove either the wing panel or some of the obstacles on the inside.
I'd just forget about it only the car failed it's biannual test because
of it.
Any help appreciated,
Chris.

the whole unit should come out from the front enabling you to access the
bulbs easily.

Re: Mission impossible: Replacing prelude side lamp bulb
I noticed that on the side that works the side lamp is integrated with
the headlight. On the side that doesn't work it is a seperate corner
piece, which doesn't pop out. Obviously someone crashed the headlight
unit and replaced it with the incorrect part.
I took it into a Honda shop who said they'll have to drop the bumper to
get the headlight out.
A lot of trouble for a side lamp but I'm snookered because of the
compulsory car test.
Thanks anyway,
Chris.
