**laughing** Tell me about it... plus...we don't need a woman to tell me that fits rule!! :) My wife was telling me that she read something last night about the fit being #1 for maneuverability...I'll add the link when I get her to show it to me...

I'm not saying one is better than the other, but when I went to go get my yaris they had 1 manual on the lot, and 2 lift backs in all. So I could either take that one or wait 6 weeks until a dealer within the region had one coming to the lot.

Saw this article on Yahoo!, the above link is to the Fit, not the beginning of the article.

I'm not surprised that the Fit was in the Top 10, nor at the Prius being at #1. What did surprise me was some of the cars that finished higher. The Yaris finished #5. The Yaris is at full production, so apparently there's little accounting for taste out there. The xD, which "lost" to the Fit in my recent car shopping, finished at #6. Among other small cars, the Civic finished at #8, the Corolla at #9.

I'd like to know where they got these numbers. I shopped both the Fit and xD. I found as many xDs on one lot as there where Fits in the entire KC metro area. The Yaris didn't seem too scarce, either. If there are people snapping up Yaris's and xDs faster than Fits, they don't live in this area.
Consumer Report May-June 2008, Listed the Fit sport #1 and the fit standard #2 for the best purchase...Both sitting over the moderatly priced Prius!

While on my local Honda dealers waiting list to buy a NEW 08 Fit Sport, I came across a pre-owned 08 on a Lincoln-Mercury lot. I still can't believe the buy! $14,700 with approx 10K for an 08 sport automatic! :D

But the real question is: Has it been in a wreck?

It was a car-fax 1 owner certified Fit that had all servicing updates fully documented. It was just a guy that had to trade in 2 vehicles for one vehicle and to cut back on loans. To make it an even better find, this dealership sells all their preowned with a lifetime powertrain warranty!:)

If true, that is truly a bargain and you would be wise not to pass it up.
