By far the best glass cleaner I've used is Vista Cleer, made by Chase
Products in Chicago. No contest, hands down, go home, it wins.

Something you have to be careful of if you have plastic tinted windows
(like 3-M) is that you cannot use anything with ammonia in it. This
pretty well eliminates things like Windex. There are very few ammonia
free products on the market. Vista Cleer is one. The product
recommended by the tint shops around here is Sprayway Glass Cleaner,
also made in Illinois. Bought mine at Costco.

Yes, I have that Sprayway cleaner and it's very good. It goes on like a
foam. I think I bought mine at ACE Hardware.

 

Sprayway 50 is not a bad product, but Champion Sprayon Vista Cleer, is
ammonia, alcohol and silicone free. Sprayway has too much alcohol
added and can dull some surfaces and is not recommended for window
film. Vista Cleer is totally safe for just about any surface and will
never harm window film. I buy a ton of Vista Cleer from Sommer & Maca
or a few local janitorial distributors.

So is Sprayway 41. However, the Sprayway 50 can states that it is
safe for plastics, and as I stated before, it is the only cleaner
recommended for plastic window film by the local tint shops.

I just use a synthetic chamois. I wash the car, then throw them in the
clothes washer with Tide to get the grease off. When they are nice and
clean, and still damp, I clean the tinted windows by softly wiping
them. Works like a charm for the last 10 years, can't damage anything.
The windshield gets Windex.
