hahaha i was considering doing a K in the rex but the b16b is an awesome engine. 185HP with a 9K redline? yes please! i love high revving engines.

yep. completely minimalistic build.

 

im sure you could, but i am going to keep it stock for now. these engines were used for endurance racing so keeping it stock is keeping it super solid and reliable.

back on topic, what's the timeline like for this badboy?

 

uhh, probably should have the engine in and running within a month. another month for paint and bodywork so im gonna say about 2-3 months until its complete.

 

is that when k series in the Fit will start?

Also excited about the K swap in the Fit. I've been driving my brother's RSX Type-S the last couple of days, it makes me miss my EP3 even more. I might have to think about the K swap too!

 

yep. then its on. at least acquiring and building the K will start after the rex is done but after the rex, i wont have enough money for the cage i want in the fit so the fit build will take a little longer than i thought just because i need to save up more money. IM RUNNING OUT!

kelsy you are a man of taste. this engine is epic, just reading the specs on it and the manufacturing....even to this day its a mechanical marvel.

haha no not even close. but i am going to the junkyard on saturday and moving the shell to my shop so alot of progress will happen within the next few weeks.

 

bump for a few progress pics. mocking everything up. about to spot weld the rad support also, getting ready for body work and painting the engine bay and interior. for one day of work, its not bad.

 

you should strip it down to nothing and powder coat it black chrome. that would look crazy stealth.
