Recently sold my boosted 240sx, and was looking for another odd project. stumbled upon a pic of a clean corolla with a 4age 20v and want to do that.

I remembered see a 94 corolla for sale on craigslist. call the guy up and bought it the next day for $200. towed it home and bump started it. had really bad knock, but ran and a/c worked. got the pan pulled off and found out number 4 piston spun and destroy the bearing and crank. mostly likely do to a weak oil pump. O well even more of a reason to do a motor swap.

Now just looking around for a good engine supplier. Only junk thing is, i'm in hawaii and most places don't like shipping here. anyone know of a good engine supplier for toyota engines?

 

What are your plans for it? Wouldn't of been my first pick for a project car.

 

Planning on dropping in a 4age 20 valve from the jdm levin's. not sure if im going to do the five or six speed. its a 1k difference.

 

dang, my brother had that same model way back when... it was new at the time. :D
