2012 camry

I scroll down the page and the first picture I see, I was like "ugh!" It is ugly, has a Corolla-look front, and the rear looks like the Lexus HS hybrid, at least that's what it reminds me of.
The interior does look a lot better than the ugly clear plastic stuff, and the steering wheel now looks like the 2012 Civic's.
This Camry is the SE model, and I guess it tries to look sporty, but it shouts ugly. I can't imagine how the LE and XLE will look like.

IMO its a HUGE improvement over the previous Camry, which isn't saying much I guess. The wheels are VERY nice and I like the interior. I know this, the next Accord needs to be a homerun, look at the Sonata/Optima, the upcoming Malibu, the current Fusion and upcoming one, the 200C (tell me that thing doesn't look and feel waaaaaaay better) and its replacement. I know this, I'd take that new Camry right there over the new Passat.....booooooooooring!

I have family who work @ toyota corporate and even they think the brand lacks a unique, exciting design. They build a solid car, but until they have something with some personality, they won't get my money. Hell, i can buy Toyota's at a sweet discount, but still got a Fit.
The new Camry looks better. I'm not sure that says much though.
Klasse Act's got it right, this segment's (like the Fit's) is more competitive now. Incremental improvement won't pull the market share they used to get.

It screams Corolla now to me, instead of Camry. Prefer the previous gen to this... and that isn't by any means much of a car to bother with earlier. I don't like the current 8th gen Accord either which seems to be a fatty, but the last 2 years of the 7th looked great (but it was very behind tech-wise inside).
I think Hyundai is laughing all the way to the bank and customer's garages with the new Sonata. Yes its kinda blatantly a bit MB CLS-ish, but look at what they copied!
Not sure what the next Accord will bring, but I'm not entirely expecting that much. Would love to be surprised though.
