Any of you guys remember the Toyota Matrix??? Well Its back..

Guy s its back as a Scion. The article didn't mention what i see. Probably per asking from Toyota but its the same body as the early 02-04 car it is. Even windows are same minus the updated bumpers, headlights, and the interior similar to today's Corolla.

What say you guys...?

Straight updated 04 Matrix. Even engine is same 1.8 137hp.

What. Not the same chassis at all.

Would take over a GK forever.

I did a test drive in September with an MT, and it's pretty much what you'd expect. A bit overpriced at MSRP in my opinion but otherwise not bad for what it is. Toyota really needed a hatchback and this will do for them.

I really liked the original Matrix and esp. its twin, the Pontiac Vibe. I would have bought a Vibe if I was in the market at the time.

You bro don't know your cars. Toyota still produces the Matrix as it was discontinued in Europe. Other car magazines stated the obvious. It's brought back over as a scion from Europe. Main body and chassis is still the same. I wanted this if it got the Celica GTS 180hp which it never got. I have 12 Hondas under my behind since I was 16 in 1998 with my 1st car being a Prelude Type SH. I'll stay with Honda like I have. That scion is nice looks but I'm jumping back to Acura again in 2020.😂

I owned a Matrix XR Auto back in 2004. Great car! I liked it but it just didn't have enough torque/powr for me and wasn't fun to drive. I installed an AEM intake on it and gained about 6whp (Still have the original dyno files). It perked it up some. All white with lightweight wheels. Had black tag on front that said 'Morpheus' on it (From Matrix movie).

Fast forward and I'm doing the same damn thing again. My Fit is just another Matrix in my mind with better fuel economy (which is why I got the Fit). Gettin' old man!

No, it is a totally different car.

Same spot in the line-up...but not the same at all.

If it had a valvematic version of the 2.4 engine they used before, then this would be interesting. Otherwise, nothing good considering the price tag it's not a bargain in this competitive market, and Scion pricing scheme makes it impossible to get a deal.

I like the styling of my 2010 fit better. I just looked at some pics of this car online and I like the back end more than the front end. It also looks like it has a two piece rear hatch (the window can open separately from the lower hatch...just guessing. Before I bought my fit I was considering the matrix because it offered awd. I didn't care for the limited rear visibility when I drove it so I opted for the fit. I desperately want an awd vehicle for my next car so I'm considering the Subaru XV.
