F/S SSR 8.7lb Type-C forged 15" wheels

I have these on ebay, but thought I would mention them here as I would have rather bought them here rather than paying full retail..Ouch!! LOL

**Not for everybody, a modification to the front brake caliper brackets are required. Involves machining off about .040 inch to the front of the bracket and about .050 to the rear of the brackets. Not a big deal if you can do very basic brake work and have a machine shop in your town. The machine work cost me $40. Not the slightest bit of loss of integrity to the part was found.

Got em listed for $449 for start of auction and something like $675 buy it now and you'll see them if you search SSR Wheel.
I'll post more pics over the weekend if anybody wants (not supposed to link to ebay is the way I read the posting rules). Recently took them off my car as I traded it in for an 09
Man I'd love to put em on my 09 but they pushed out the wheels and 38 offset sticks out to much for my liking

38 offset, an extra center cap and SSR valve stem plus the not installed (new) SSR and Type C decals. Straight and true no curb rash.

Oh forgot to mention I would consider some $$$$ and trade for 08 sport wheels with sensors as I need those for my snow tires.

Oh and anybody close I could help/do the work on the brackets.

I should clarify that this is an ebay starting price. Strictly a guess that they would sell for between $575 and $650
But I am not greedy,I just try to be reasonable and fair.
And not that I prefer ebay, no I prefer the Fit community.

What I would really like is some 08 sport wheels in trade (for my snowtires) + some cash.

Also remember my first post, gotta do some fairly small machining on the caliper brackets for the 15" SSR's to fit.

Are these Type-Cs or Type-C Competition?

Color? I'm guessing Gunmetal.

I couldn't find the listing on eBay. I'd like to get them for $500.

Is there anyway to get around the fitment issues? i.e. wheel spacers? I never heard of this situation with SSR wheels. I have an 08' Fit.

Yes Anthracite (gun metal, charcoal gray) Type-C I remember calling around and going all over the internet to figure out the dif bet Type C and Comp or Competition and was told it was really the same wheel!?!? only thing is 16's and 17's are more routinely called 'Competition'
Fitment, the whole issue is the curved piece of the caliper bracket that curves around the brake rotor hub. Spacers would work, all you would need is 3MM (maybe 2.5s) But commonly available is 5MM which might get the wheel out there more than necessary.. The machining is really not a big deal though. BTW I knew about the machining up front. I wanted the lightest wheel possible, so I planned it out before I bought them.
what I really would like is some sport 08 wheels, some sort of a trade (I might guess you would need my wheels first then you could send me yours if a trade +$ would work out).
$500 is less than I would like selling them out right. Not being greedy either as I got about $1350 into them and they are quite nice, like 14-15 months old and I had my stock wheels w/snow tires on for 4&1/2 months of that. For ebayers (outside the Fit community) these are going to fit 15-16 years worth of Civics and Corollas, so quite a few bids could happen.

Let's keep open communication thru PM's and see where this goes.
Going on a business trip early am, could have to work hard. Nobody take it personal If I dont get a chance to reply until Friday night
Mike

I'll offer $300 cash + my 2008 Fit Sport wheels. They don't have any curb rash. I just purchased the vehicle in February. I will pay for shipment to you via UPS ground.

You pay for shipment to me initially upon payment of the $300.

Sorry, I can't include the TPMS sensors. I need them for my car and I believe they are expensive to replace and/or a hassle, i.e. have to make an appt. with a Honda dealer to reset them.

*If I can purchase the TPMS sensors at wholesale, then I can get that price for you. Alternatively, you can remove your current TPMS sensors and place all four in the spare tire. This will fool the module and keep the sensor light off.

Please PM 48 hrs. before the auction ends. Thx!

Let me get educated on the sensors, all costs etc so I know what the real amount of doing the whole thing might be. Damn sensors LOL.
Starting to think about just selling the SSR's outright and just swap 2 sets of tires back and forth on the one set of wheels.

Okay. Sounds good. I think your auction will end next week. LMK before it ends whichever way you decide. Unfortunately, our vehicles are not like the 2007 model which didn't have these sensors!

What? He said he was also interested in a trade for stock wheels. Anyways, I retract my offer after contacting Tanabe. Thanks for considering my offer though.

Offset and width of the rim is only part of the equation. If you take a closer look at the spoke design. It's extremely close to the caliper bracket. Same story with HX rims.
