Have any of you removed the clutch delay valve or found a CMC that had it already removed? I've looked around the forums/internet for an answer, but it seems that everyone who has accomplished this has an older generation fit.
I've seen some posts on other forums for the honda civic si's where they adjust a screw on the clutch pedal sensor and on the CMC. I've thought about trying it to see if that works. Grinding second sucks! lol

woah, wait a second. Is that why I accidently grind 2nd gear sometimes? I knew something was weird about it because 2nd always felt a little different than the rest of the gears. Now I definitely need a solution to this...

I'm gonna try it this weekend, if it works I'll post it.
Completed the CDV delete on my GK5 the other day. Required only minor modification: slightly widening stud holes and spacing back the mounting nuts with a couple washers. All in all a success and a very worthwhile mod if you like to drive your gk hard. I used an OEM Honda (Nissin) clutch master cylinder and swapped the connector fitting from gk5 to em2 cmc. Hope this helps anyone else interested in this swap.
The two stud holes here need to be filed out just a couple mm wider for the studs to pass through.
GK5 (bottom) EM2 (top)
OEM EM2 cmc installed in my 2017 GK
Closer up
EM2 cmc with GK fitting and line connected
EM2 (left) GK (right) studs are a little different, a couple washers on each one took up the space and its nice and tight.

what benefits have you experienced after doing this mod?
After doing this I now have a firmer pedal that I can feel the engagement much better through. Clutch engagement is quicker and no longer delayed making for much smoother shifting especially at higher rpms. Definitely helps add some pep!
Something I'd LOVE to do, but....still under engine/drivetrain warranty on ours, and am not confident enough in my "skills" to pull this one off, am afeared. I really do hate the CDV, and I really don't understand the purpose....is it to make it "easier" for folks who don't know how to drive a manual? I don't get it, but I hate it....and I'll stick with it for some more years/miles, I guess, as I'm sure Honda would not be happy if I did this under warranty......oh, well, could be worse, I guess
What's the part number for the EM2 CMC you've used?
I believe it was Nissin/Adler (OE Supplier) 46920-S5A-G05 however I'm almost 100% certain any from G01 to G05 will work as they are all the same part with minor internal revisions.
