Hey! I just found the Texas board. Nice. I guess I should introduce myself. I'm KCTitan, and I love my Fit!

But in all seriousness, put me down for the August 19th. I'd like to get in on this meet.

My car is not super modded out just yet but I'm slowly getting there!

Wish I had more wrencher friends in my area. Getting ready to do axles, bearings, hubs on my s2000 I think. Would rather do the install myself but I'm an idiot and I'd mess it up, lil.

If I could handle the heat I'd be there to lend a hand... I'll be in GBC this evening to check out an old 95 Cadillac Seville with a $5000 air bag suspension... The barn floor has new and old parts strewn about and I need a comfortable ride. I'll bet I could give you a hand if you have a shop manual and can delay the project until it gets cooler.

Its not that hard to do by yourself, but you will need a hydraulic press for the bearings.

Yeah I was there way too early. A bunch of us came up from Killeen and got there at like 1230, I stuck around til almost 6 and now I am looking like a lobster right now.
I was disappointed that I didn't see any other GD3s there either. I was hoping to get some more ideas for mine.
All in all though it was a good time.

Thanks for the offer D...can't really wait because the car is making an unspecified noise at the moment. Lol. I'm not sure which will fix it but at this mileage I don't see a problem in replacing them. I'm having it looked at tomorrow.

Round up the parts and find a near by machine shop to press in the bearings... I am pretty sure I will have picked up another car to drive by Tuesday, maybe tomorrow if not I'll drive the old truck... The air bag suspension on the Cadillac sucked bad but otherwise it was real nice... I'm thinking I'll get a 1999 BMW 328i if the 2002 Seville I'm checking out isn't up to par ...

Hey I'll let you know what's up. The guy tomorrow may decide its bearings or axles or something altogether different. We will see. He's the husband of a coworker so I'm sure he will cut me a deal. Don't worry about me. And umm...BMW!!

I think I might be free that day and Tyler isn't too far. I learned my lesson last year when I drove to Houston in the summer for that last meet. The Fit's A/C just can't keep up lol. I'll try to get another Fit friend I know to go, too.

August 19th(Sunday) 4pm, Location: TBD

2. Vanct (maybe)

I removed the cabin filter in my Fit last summer and it made a noticeable difference in reducing the temperature... Last summer was one hot bitch, much worse than this one has been so far... The humidity has been higher down here so it feels much hotter. [/QUOTE]
