Texas Fits, Anything goes thread
yep, my parents want me to be safe and leagle thats why i was wondering if a strait was leagle on the fit. they dont mind if i mod, i just have to get their "ok" to do it
since emissions are not strict in texas you could pass with it.
you might as well take off the stock axle back it sounds better than stock. also run a cat or high flow not straight pipe its cleaner. you would probably lose bottom end in doing so
all i was going to do is un bolt the axle back and bend a 2 1/2" pipe in shop and weld the stock clamp thing back on and rebolt
CAI are worthwhile as long as your staying NA. The stock airboxs on these things are fairly restrictive. Just be warned that CAIs have a risk of hydrolocking the engine because the filters are lower to the ground (near the driver fog light). Of course if you have a bypass in the pipe you won't have to really worry about that happening.

if you want a cheap CAI get the a spec one but try to get the INJEN CAI that the guy is selling used in the for sale section
id buy the intake first. as you can have the exhaust fabbed up at any local muffler shop. the intake might not be there that long and is cheaper now to buy it used than to buy it new. thats just my opinion
