Just got a call from Manuel, my sales guy at Classic Honda. My Fit isn't in yet but he mentioned that they've got a Black AT Base there that the buyer fell through on. So if you know of someone looking for a base, Manuel has one for them - as of noon 6/20. He's doing MSRP on mine.

Picked up my SSS a/t today from Classic and everything went real smooth. The finance guy didn't even try to pressure me into buying the extented warranty although he did review it. I drove straight down to Sun Tint on Burnet Rd. and got it tinted. Looks great with the Storm Silver. It's funny how many stares you get driving a Fit! Have you noticed that, too? I'll take pics this weekend.

Also, I have now seen 1 orange FIT on the road, and two parked - red and black both base models.

 

Hey, Monica ... when I picked mine up 2 days ago at Classic Honda, they had 5 Fits in make ready to be delivered - all presolds. When I got my windows tinted at Sun Tint they told me they had done a bunch of Fits for First TX Honda. So I guess us A-town Fit Freaks won't be so lonely on the roads anymore!

Well, my blue Fit Sport AT is supposed to arrive late July or early August... hopefully sooner, but the waiting lists are long...

Only Fit I've seen on the road in Austin is a black sport Fit - it was driving north on Mopac on 6/2. I grabbed a picture with my phone:

 

I saw one yeseterday Blue, Sprt on is way down 71 torwards bastrop..

 

So much for that idea... the dealership called and said they're getting Fits slower than expected, and now they probably won't have my car until some time in October, maybe. I can't wait that long - right now I'm driving my mom's PT Cruiser to get to and from work, and I need something to replace my (dead) Neon before school starts back up (she's a teacher).

So, now I'm trying to find one someplace else. One dealership said they're getting a blue sport Fit (my first choice) soon, but it's spoken for... unless that person changes their mind. So I'm really hoping they do.

I may end up having to go with something else though. I'd rather have the Fit, but I may go with a Civic, which is what I was originally considering before I heard about the Fit anyway.

Woohoo, got one. Not the blue I was hoping for, but white was my second choice anyway.

Apparently a dealership in San Antonio got an extra white Sport AT instead of orange, and the person waiting on the orange one didn't want it. I got lucky and was the first to call on it. Just got back into town about an hour ago.

This weekend I'll see if I can get some pictures taken of it next to my mom's PT Cruiser.

Beige... which is just fine as far as I'm concerned, considering the Texas sun.

Now I just need to get the windows tinted.

San Angelo TX here. 3 1/2 hours from Austin. My family livese North Austin on Parmer. Maybe one day I will come to a meet. I get my car here in about a day or two..

Edit - There's a Blue fit a while back that I saw at the dealer. I was looking at it. Came back later to really look at it and it was gone! doh! So then I get talking to the salesmans and I got my name on the white AT. Last week a Red Base model came in. A guy backed out on it but changed his mind and came back the next day. A lady drove off with it..haha.

But here's the funny part. There's a White Fit two blocks down from the same apartments I live in.. Go figure!
