Rear Skunk2 spring clunking after install.

Just installed my springs tonight (well 3 of them, i stripped the rear strut bolt ), and my one rear spring is clunking over weight-shifting bumps.

The skunk2's have some of the coil cut off, but is covered in the rubber hose. I'm almost positive i installed them with the rubber down. I also removed the rubber from the stock spring perch. Could this be my problem?

Also, besides Honda, has anyone else used a replacement bolt from somewhere else? I highly doubt anyone will have that bolt in stock in NJ.

try putting the rear on jackstands and rotating the clunking spring till it settles into the perch. i had the same problem with my pro-c's and that was my fix.

also check to see if it's not just your spare tire, scissor jack, or tire iron moving around in the spare tire well. i had that problem too and only realized it after tinkering around with the suspension for almost an hour ..

what do you mean by this? did you remove the entire stock rubber piece?

if you did, the clunking noise is probably from the metal-on-metal contact.
