So if we are going to do this are we going to have the meet on a saturday or sunday? I rather drive early on Saturday morning. But the weekend of the 22nd/23rd sounds good to me.

When I have done Spokane meets in the past I tend to try and make it over the entire weekend but the bulk of the meet is on Saturday. The first one I did I had people arriving on Friday and staying until Sunday. Since then it varies. Some show on Saturday morning and leave Sunday afternoon.

Yeah, the driver's side was obviously alittle bit of a challenge as you said since it was preloaded. I just loosened up the upper bolt to get the lower one through the bracket and once it was all the way through I tightened everything back down with a wrench.

Everything fits very nice and snug. No squeeks and creeks. To fit the upper bar I sawed off the plastic piece over the bolt.

All I have left to do is to weld on 2 "U" brakets for the harness to bolt into and then an adjustable camera mount and it will be complete.

I have to get a new one b/c the one I have is a full length and it doesn't work with a harness bar. I need to get one made for a harness bar.

Here is a bit of what we did last time.

Friday Day: Meet and greet - throughout the day as people arrived in Spokane. Pretty chill just hung out around the house until all people were there. Sonic had just opened in Spokane so we went there for food once everyone arrived.

Friday night: 1/4 mile open street drags at Spokane County Raceway
$10 to spectate
$15 to race
Open until Midnight

After the drags a few people stayed at our house (open to anyone, usually space available and first come first serve). We have moved to a bigger home and now have room in the house for 9 people to sleep on a couch, futon, or bed. We have much more room if you want to sleep on the floor though (completely up to you). We may have room next door as well but it depends on if Sheila's aunt has her daughter that weekend. We have a big back yard and if you want to tent it you are more than welcome to do so.

Saturday morning: Get up, eat breakfast (Homemade breakfest Mexican style). I
think we were all up and done with food by alittle after 10am. This is completely flexible though since not everyone is an early riser or eats breakfast.

Saturday Day: Install time - We have done misc. installations that people had, if Jae came I could do his new laps , We've done brake swaps, bar installs, header installs, and the list goes on. This has taken a few hours to a lot of hours. The longest being after stripping a rear lca camber bolt and having to go to a junk yard to find a new one.

Saturday Afternoon/early evening: Usually either go for a cruise through the rural hills and mountains and/or photoshoot around town. This has been a pretty fun part of the weekend as it gets us out and driving together and there are lots of great areas around here for spirited driving.

Saturday night: FEAST! - We usually do a big feast/bbq. We have done anywhere from hamburgers and dogs to crab feeds. We generally like to open this up for people to bring something with them. We've had people bring ribeyes, pork chops, salmon, homemade sausage, crab, and various other things.

Sunday: We have generally left this day open as some people have to leave early due to longer drives. I leave this up to you all when everyone is here to determine what we do.

We've got great lakes, parks, golf courses, and decent malls if you want to go shopping.

this weekend I could swing it without an issue or the 20th/21st. Just a simple meet n greet, anything else and yeah, moot.

Anybody busy next weekend or during the week? I might need some help with a rear sway bar install because I don't got tools right now to do it either.

I'm out. I've been away from home the past 3 weekends and have put 4,000 miles on the car in the last month.

Eric, if the rear sway is anything like on the GD, its super easy and can be done with a jack, 2 jack stands, a ratchet with I believe a 17mm socket (might be smaller) for the lower shock bolt, and then a socket for whatever size bolts came with the bar. Probably 12mm or 14mm. You don't need spring comressors to do the back........at least I didn't. The rear sway took me about a total of an hour to install and 20 minutes of it was figuring out how it mounted properly b/c the pictures in the directions were horrible.

I can meet you up Matt, I'm always down for an IKEA meet up when I'm not busy. What time should we try and be at IKEA since we should try and beat the BC people up there so they don't think we bailed on them.

Thanks Mike for the quick tip. Not many people have a rear sway bar yet for the GE8 so it will be fun installing it and a few other parts.
