Any possibility of not screwing it in, and instead using a strong adhesive instead?
Even if it requires screwing in, I'll still be buying one.

I don't know what to say. The pedal is still a priority but we have been side-tracked with some other things. We should be back on the pedal issue next week and I hope to have some pics. Thanks to all for hanging in there. I see daylight...
