I'd do just drain and fill the fluid now, and later on you can decide about the external filter if you wish. (inline filter is external when equipped)


In our shop we just do the simple drain and fill for all routine trans fluid services, regardless of mileage.

Filter replacement would be extra, and a customer would have to ask for it specifically, and approve an estimate..



My GFs 07 Fit had 200k on it when I picked it up, I did the 4x drain and fill at that time with 12 quarts of Honda DW1 fluid, no filter. It's got something like 225k now.

I was told Wolf Head is globally accepted as a Super Universal replacement.
The word "recommended" is relative in Dealership terms.

OMG you live in Pahoa?!?!?!? That's just plain crazy. Used to date a girl from Pahoa when I lived in Kona. LOTS of back and forth on the saddle road.
