Install 2 way coaxial in front door - what about crossover?
Hi, I have a 2015 Fit Ex.
I plan to install 2 way coaxial speakers in the front in place of the front door woofer and dash tweeter.
If I connect to the existing wiring in the front door for the new 2 way speaker is there a built in crossover for the tweeter that will be filtering out higher frequencies?
I appreciate any help. I had an install done at Best Buy that was majorly screwed up and after a payout from their insurance I am attempting to install equipment myself instead. I self installed a navi hu in my previous vehicle but this will be my first time installing speakers.
Also fyi there is already an aftermarket amp installed. I took the door apart yesterday and it appears best buy just spliced into the factory wiring. Hence my concern about whether the factory crossover for the tweeter is active in the wiring.
