Well the GD3 is raised 1/2" and I am waiting to get to get the new tires mounted and the car aligned...

bad news...

Pass. tires has cord showing on inner and outer sides. Some steel belting is starting to poke out on the outer side aswell.

Drivers. has just dead tire tread and looks like racing slick...

This is all in 5 1/2 week mark... I'm glad I have the 10th AE RX-7 to drive lol

I think you have set the record for quickest wear on a Fit. Are you sure you were not drifting?

We have tried a few simulations of drifting. The GD3 is not designed to drift. Once it notices the car start to drift it becomes loose then grips even more... This is at slow 15-30mph and High 90-110mph

Im sure with a little adjustment on the coilovers you could get it to drift. I used to drift my 4 dr honda civic sedan with just an abrupt lift throttle on a long sweeper. A good idea of wieght transfer is key, though I am not sure how that solid beam rear reacts I need to look at it a little closer, probably check it out when I install the springs. If I ever find any I like

Hey I use to drift the old EG hatch with ITR in it all day, but the GD3 rear suspension is all about the grip lol

Light weight tires ?

Can someone recommend some light weight tires?

For our stock sport 15" rims.

I checked tirerack that lists weights of the tires, but everything
is at least 18 lbs!

thanks

Both of the sizes you mention will fit fine. You can also use 195/55R15 and 215/50R15 on the car.
If I can help let me know.

I would worry about the weight of the wheels not the tires. The tires can reduce weight at the price of reducing performance. The weights we list on our web site are shipping weights and normally they will weigh a little less anyway.

if you are worried about weight then u need to start with removing your entire interior. strip all the dampening material. start buying carbon parts.

if you get soooo far as to need lightweight tires...

ok ccFit my bad........

Jimmy101,

Anyway, Light tires?????? Let that thing to car manufacturers, there are millions of things to worry and care before even think of light tires....... and instead of light tires, you should think of sticky tires which I belive is really important
