I'm using a 700lbs impact gun what is going on! I notice that the engine keeps turning while we try to get it off and its in gear, I even put my foot on the break but it still just keeps turning. What should i do????

awesome, thanks. So the NST pulley is a bit heavier and quite a bit less expensive. You Honda guys always get more choices :smile:

I doubt that it's going to do anything. A few pounds of rotational weight is negligible compared with the weight of the internals and accessories.

Still, nice DIY info for any underdrive pullies, which might have more of a noticeable result.

Few questions:
1. What is the torque spec on the center bolt of the pulley?
2. Any information if the harmonic balancer is necessary on this motor?

there is 1x 12mm and 1x 14mm bolts that hold the alternator down. plus, youve also got the 10mm adjuster

leaks??

So I bought one gently used from a guy in the States, had my mechanic install it and ended up with a oil leak... anybody have this problem?

Mechanic says because it is 0.5mm less in diameter and 0.5mm less in thickness that it isn't sealing (BS right?)

Did you end up fixing that leak? From what I can tell, the bolt should snug the pulley up making that definite BS. (especially considering, well, that wouldn't make sense in any other way)

I brought it in and they measured both the stock and T1R pulley and they blamed the T1R pulley because it is 0.5 mm smaller and .5 mm thinner... BS, so they re-installed the stock pulley (at my expense...)

Oh geez. That's stupid. I'll bet they just used the impact to torque it back on, causing who knows what. If that amount of size difference on a pulley would make that difference, then beware if you heat up the engine by 20 degrees because things might not fit when the metal expands. Haha! I'm just about to install my pulley myself, which is why I asked. Just deciding how I'm going to hold that pulley firm. Side note... you interested in the Calgary Fit cruise? There's just Snowfit and I so far.
